The site is operated as a referral service. Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract for tree work. Any contract for work is formed between you and the tree care business that quotes and performs it.
Quotes and information
Prices, ranges and timeframes on this site are indicative. The figures published in our cost guide are ranges drawn from our own published guidance, not offers. A binding price comes only from a written quote issued after a site inspection.
Information about council rules, standards and tree biology is general in nature. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for advice about your specific tree and property. Council policies change; confirm the current position with the relevant council before acting.
Your obligations
When you submit an enquiry you agree that the details you give are accurate, that you are the owner or occupier of the property or authorised to arrange work on it, and that you will disclose anything relevant to the safety of the job - underground services, unstable ground, disputes with neighbours about the tree.
Intellectual property
All content on this site - text, images, page structure and the guide library - is owned by or licensed to Sunshine Coast Tree Care and protected by copyright. You may read it, print it for personal use and link to it. You may not republish, resell or scrape it.
Third-party links
Where we link to a council, a regulator, a standards body or an energy provider, we do so because it is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where those rights apply they prevail over anything written here.
Subject to that, the site is provided on an as-is basis. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here, or from the acts or omissions of a tree care business you engage after being referred. Choosing and contracting with that business, including checking its qualifications and insurance, remains your decision.
Safety
Several guides on this site describe work that can be done by a competent person - hand stump removal, small-tree trimming. They are written to help you judge what you are taking on. Tree work injures and kills people every year in Australia. If a job requires a ladder, a rope, a chainsaw above shoulder height, or work near power lines, engage a qualified arborist.
